After our stay in Hungary, we left for our next destination of Vienna, Austria. On our way west, we took a quick pit stop in Brno, Czechia!

Brno is the second-largest city in Czechia, and it is also home to Gregor Mendel, whose findings about genetics revolutionized the field of science; they've also given many biology students a headache! We toured the monastery in which he worked and lived and were able to view original writings and equipment he used during his scientific work.

We were also able to indulge in some extremely cheap local beers and, for me, a well-needed espresso.
